Why we're wanting to give back to you, our community
Being a family-owned and operated business in the Illawarra means more than just running a business; it’s about growing the relationships we’ve built and the trust we’ve earned over the years. Our roots in this beautiful region inspire us every day to contribute positively to our community and make a lasting difference. What better way to celebrate our 20th year than to spread the love with our fellow Illawarrians!
Wollongong, NSW’s third-largest city and ninth-largest city in Australia with a population of over 315,000 people (as of 2024) is fast becoming its own mini-metropolis! Our region is renowned for its steel works industry and multiculturalism.
What does Illawarra Mean?
Originating from the Aboriginal Dharawal language it can be loosely translated as “high pleasant place by the sea”. Traditional Custodians of Country in the Illawarra are the Dharawal, Yuin and Wadi Wadi peoples.
What does the City of Wollongong's Crest represent?
Our city’s crest was designed in 1948. Its motto ‘Urbs inter mare montempque’ is Latin for 'City between the mountains and the sea’. The four quarters of the crest represent our traditional industries; farming, the port, coal mining and the steel industry.
When did Wollongong get its own flag?
In 1981 a public competition was held to design a flag for Wollongong. The winner was John Mullhall of Cringila!
